You Think You Know Me

1. I have curly hair, not wavy it is really curly. I actually hate it and straighten it everyday.

2. I'm super bad at charging my electronics. All of my stuff is always dying and it always happens at the most inconvenient times.

3. I have a blankie and a bear. I'm 18. Judge me.

4. I have to watch Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live before I go to bed. If I'm really tired I'll go to sleep and set my alarm to wake me up before it comes on.

5. I only wear crew socks. I hate ankle socks, they make me feel naked.

6. I hate breakfast. I rarely eat it. I think you should save your calories for better meals. I also know this goes against the judgement of any health professional.

7. My favorite type of cake is red velvet but I hate 'real' chocolate cake.

8. I'm really scared of heights. Therefore I won't ride roller coasters of sit on the window seat of a plane.

9. I consider myself a "kind of" morning person. I don't like to set an alarm to get up early but if I wake up I love the feeling of getting up and accomplishing so many things before 10 o'clock.

10. I cannot ride a bike nor have any interest in learning.

11. I'm OCD about brushing my teeth. I brush them at least 4 times a day yet I've still have 2 root canals.

12. I don't like red meat. I'll eat it maybe once a month. Burgers and steak just don't appease me. I would much prefer seafood or chicken.

13. Even though I'm scared of heights I love to fly. Down to enjoy going through TSA and boarding the airplane. I look at it like it is an adventure.

14. I'm obsessed with all Bravo TV shows. The Real Housewives series is my weakness except for Miami.

15. I have never colored my hair nor will I ever. I think the color you are naturally is what looks best with your skin tone and it is always so obvious looking if you do.

16. I am an only child. While I cannot envision my childhood any different I definitely want to make sure that my kids have siblings.

17. I have a major sweet tooth but not for cake or cookies. For candy, not chocolate candy but fruity candy. I can eat Starbursts, Sour Patch Kids, and Skittles all day long.

18. I collected Barbies as a little kid, I have over 50. They are all still in their boxes. Caleb things I should sell them. It isn't going to happen.

19. I cannot stand people that are not on time. It isn't that hard.

20. Big Daddy is my all time favorite movie. Adam Sandler gets me every time.

21. I really want a tattoo but I judge people that have them for being tacky. I also don't like hypocrites. I  also know my Dad would scrap it off with a rock.

22. I only have my ears pierced. I used to have my belly button but I took it out.

23. The best gift I ever received was my Nikon. It is my most treasured possession and I would run into a building on fire to retrieve it.

24. I love my dog so much that I cannot imagine how much people love their kids.

25. I have to wear my jewelry at all times. Even if I am in sweats. I feel completely off without it.

What Is On Your Mind?

1. I like to wear my tennis shoes. They make me feel athletic even though we all know know that I'm not.

2. I love a good cold Diet Coke but I've had to cut back due to their high amounts of MSG, I'm struggling. Plus, Longwood only carried Pepsi products...ugh!

3. I'm currently obsessed with cantaloupe and pineapple. I love having it at school, the dining hall food gets so old. I think having some fresh food makes it feel more like home.

4. I'm thinking of cutting my hair, short. Not too short but above the shoulders. It gets so hot in the summer and saves me so much time.

5. I have officially changed my major and I'm so happy about it. I'm majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Psychology. That could possibly be switched around in the future due to the difference between BA and BS. I've had many people tell me that I'm making a mistake but I'm learning that I need to make myself happy and not others.

6. I've had insomnia for the past week. I've never had it before and I now feel your struggle people.

7. I've decided that I'm going to start wearing summer clothes whether it is warm outside or not. Maybe that will make Spring come faster.

8. I've recently become addicted to watching Kelly and Michael in the morning along with the Today Show. I feel really old but I like it.

9. I want to study abroad, bad. I hear Italy calling my name. If anyone would like to fund this it is welcomed.

10. I'm longing for some time with my friends from home. They keep me grounded and make me laugh until my stomach hurts and I miss that.

Retail Therapy

We have a big weekend ahead of us.
Well at least I do.
It is Easter!
I personally love Easter.
My Mom and Dad always made it a big deal.
Apparently this is odd to many people...Caleb.
I've always gotten an Easter gift and it has always been good.
I have an obsession with Peeps.
Ok, lets be real.
I have an obsession with candy in general but Peeps and jelly beans come on.
No holiday could be better than that.

I woke up to snow this morning.
Seriously March I'm going to kick your you know what.
Well it gave me a little incentive to buy some spring clothes.
J. Crew has been running some awesome sales and I had some gift cards from the holidays along with a coupon that was about to expire.
I picked up these lovelies.

I cannot wait to get my hands on this.  It is going to be perfect and light weight for those hot summer days that I love along with being long enough to wear to work.

I've had my eye on this shirt for a long time now. I'm planning on pairing it with my neon and white shorts this summer

I mean it is seersucker, that is enough.

I picked up a couple of these. I live in these during the summer and they are so cheap you can stock up at the beginning of each season and toss the grungy looking ones.

Last but definitely not least. The website was sold out and I was crushed. So I put my stalker shoes on and call a bunch of J. Crews throughout the country...I know I have an issue. This is coming to me all the way from Arizona! I'm envisioning it with a yellow cardigan and gold Jacks!

Now the weather needs to get it together so I can wear them!

Scoot on out Snow

Okay March we are over.
I'm so done with you.
You are supposed to bring me my beloved Spring not this snow storm.
Get your ducks in a row and bring me some sun.
I mean next weekend is Easter and I'm going to be a little upset if I have to wear a sweater!

I've been slacking a little lately on here.
I'm telling you it is because of the weather.
There is no reason to get my camera out in the rain or snow or go outside for that matter.
Hopefully that will be changing soon.

I'm looking forward for school to be done.
I need a break.
I need to be able to start and finish a school year in one place along with actually having a roommate.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing I don't like about Longwood but I haven't found my groove yet.
I'm ready to find it.

On that note, I found a roommate!
Colleen!
I'm so excited to live with her next year and I'm so thankful that I met her!
We got out room assignment last week and we are living in Arc.
It is the all girls dorm and the rooms are huge.
I cannot wait to have our matching monogram room!

Here is to tomorrow...Monday.
Ugh.
Well this snow has given me a two hour delay...I guess it is good for something.

random

1. I got a new Easter dress and I think it is quite divine.
It is the perfect colors for Spring and I cannot wait to wear it.
I've been lusting over it for awhile now and finally bit the bullet

2. I was a little worried about finding out I could only shop at Trader Joes but I'm finding that it is kind of awesome.
They have everything you could ever want and it is all delicious and MSG free!
The almonds are my current weakness.

3. There are officially 45 days left until summer break.
That is 45 days too long but I think I will make it.

4. I'm officially going on vacation.
Well it isn't really a vacation but I'm going to Houston the first week of May to visit my Dad.
I haven't been in about a year and I'm pretty excited about it.
It also gives me a motive to finish school off well!

5. There is absolutely no reason for college class registration to be as complicated as it is.
You have no idea what to sign up for, when, or how.
And you have to get up at 6 a.m to do it!

6. I need some sun.
Preferably a little time near the water with possibly a little tan as a result.

Right here will do.
Insert me in chair on beach

7. My current obsession is Wawa coffee.
English Toffee that is.
It blows Starbucks out of the water along with the fact that it is $1.45 instead of $5 a cup.
I may or may not have bought two cups at the same time over the weekend.

8. I'm in major need of a mani/pedi.
This isn't random. This is just a fact.

9. People always say "College is going to be the best time of your life, enjoy it before it is over".
My hallways currently smells of vomit.
Courtesy of the people that proceeded to have a pow wow in my hallway at 2 a.m.

Birthdays and Song Contest

This week was a short week.
I needed a short week.
I went home on Wednesday since my classes were cancelled for the rest of the week.
I got home Wednesday evening just in time for some dinner and a fire.

Thursday was a big day.
It was the first of my Mom's birthdays without her.
It was hard, harder than I expected but we made it special.
Caleb and I went and got three yellow balloons, her favorite color.
One for me, one for him, and one for America.
We all wrote a message to her and let them go in the backyard to fly to heaven.
I think it is definitely a tradition that we will continue.

Friday was SONG CONTEST!
The biggest night of the year for Saint Gertrude people.
It was fabulous as always.
The best way I can explain it is:

It is a musical competition between all four classes. They put their own words related to school to popular songs along with hand motions.

You really have to experience it at least once to fully understand the concept.
I am a little biased and think it is just magical.
I mean we fill up the Landmark, it is a big deal!
It was such a strange feeling to be in the audience and not competing.
Yet I still got butterflies when they announced the winners.

All of the classes were so amazing.
The Seniors, Silver and Blue took first place and it was well deserved.
Along with the Sophomores, Pink and Gold taking second.

Saturday was amazing weather.
In the 70s amazing.

I'm back to school today.
Settled in and ready for another week.
Easter will be here before we know it.

Spring has Sprung

Spring Break is officially over.
Right when the Spring weather is coming around.
So cruel, I know.
Even though it is over it was oh so good.
While it was too short I know my summer is right around the corner.

This is a little catch up and a little random so bear with me.

Right before I left for break I got a care package from some of my favorite people.
Grandma and Grandpa are so fabulous.
While I don't get to see them often enough they hold a special place in my heart and are extremely special.
I got some good including some macaroons and candy to fill my jar!
Thank you! It was very much appreciated.

For the past three weeks my life has consisted of allergists, EPI pens, and rashes.
It all started being a peanut allergy which ended up being false.
We found out last week with this round of shorts that I am allergic to MSG, a preservative.
Let me tell you that it is in literally everything.
Thankfully Trader Joes does not sell anything that has it as an ingredient.

I got Spring fever for the tenth time this weekend and got some of my shorts out.
It was 65 degrees today and is supposed to be 70 tomorrow.
Too bad my legs are pasty white and blinding.

This was how Caleb spend most of his weekend!
All went well and he was an excellent patient!

Lastly a little shout out to Colleen!
Love you and stay strong!!

Snow Day

I know y'all are sick of hearing me long for Spring.
Well the snow that we woke up to this morning made me want it even more.
I'm all for a good snow in say December or January but not MARCH!

March is supposed to be able flowers and sunshine and Spring Break!
What I'm supposed to be on but there is nothing "springy" about it.
I guess I should stop complaining.

Today allowed for me to lay around and not feel guilty about watching Netflix and baking all day.
Along with a little online shopping.

I also got some much needed time with my camera.

I made the some Peanut Butter Chunk Brownies that I found via Pinterest.
They seem to be a hit.

Puppy prints

Bean Boot type of day

I will leave you with this little lovely that I'm currently lusting over.
I would love it if it made its way into my closet for Easter Sunday but I have a feeling it wont happen with its $168 price tag.
But if anyone is feeling generous I'll be happy to accept it in a size 6!

Thanks

Winter has been a season of stress for me.
For no particular reason but sometimes I worry about things I shouldn't.
Okay, I worry about everything.
All the time.
I worry about things I can't change or do and I worry about other peoples issues.
Not my best trait but it is me and I have learned to except it.

Unfortunately it has gotten the best of me lately.
Que the anxiety and not so fun add ons that come with my stress.
Sometimes you just have to remember what you have and be thankful.
I'm so fortunate in so many ways.
I have literally the best people in my life.
And I wouldn't be where I am without them.
Every once in awhile these people deserve a thank you.

While I miss her every single day I'm always reminded that she made me who I am and she was the best out there.
I'm so thankful for the time I had with my mom even though it got cut short.
I'll never forget the things she taught me and she still keeps me laughing everyday.

My Dad is my rock.
He is always there to listen to me complain or try to understand what I'm saying while I'm crying on the phone.
He always has the answers to any questions I have and always has a solution to my problems.
And let me tell you how understanding he is, I'm difficult ha.
He provides such a good and rewarding life for me and that is something priceless.

I don't know where to start with Townley or the whole Marchetti in general.
I never thought I would have such a loving and genuine family in my life.
I'm so blessed to have them.
They are one of the best things that happened to me in awhile.
I probably wouldn't have gotten through the past year without them.
They are my second family and I can't imagine not having them.
And well Caleb is pretty good too :)

Nana and Papa.
They are pretty self explanatory.
They are an inspiration to me, I just think they are so cool and are probably an inspiration to everyone
They have always been there for me, through the good and the bad.
Along with giving everyone a good laugh.
I'm so thankful that they are still around and that I get to see them as often as I do.

The last but definitely not least.
My Peggy!
She is one of my favorite people in this world, she is pretty fabulous.
Aunt Peggy is probably one of the smartest and hard working people I know.
She has always been there for me and is always a good time.

Unfortunately I don't have a good picture of Mimi and Poppy but I don't want to leave them out.
They have been so gracious and loving to me these past few months.
And let me tell you they keep you laughing.
Poppy has an answer for everything, literally everything.
While Mimi is so loving.

I could go on about these people for days but I will spare you!
Just wanted to give them a little shout out and some love!
Thank you for all that you all do!

I'm back!!

I am back in action.
I promise I won't leave my laptop anywhere again.
I'm home on Spring Break and it is exactly what I needed.
Well I needed today.
I worked all Saturday, Sunday, and today.

I went to Target over the weekend and they have all of their Easter candy out.
It put me in the mood to make some easy treats.
We all know I make them whenever they come out with holiday M&Ms.
I'm okay with that.

The worst part

Today is Mimi's birthday!
While she calls me on all of my birthdays and sings to me I spared her this morning!
I hope you had a great day and came in first at the bridge center!
Love you Mimi!

I'm done with work for the week!
Spending some time with my other Grandparents.
Now it is time to prepare for the "blizzard" coming this Wednesday!

xoxo
