Insta Post

Just deal with the randomness of this post.
I'm keeping y'all caught up here on my new life.

It has been so cold here.
Literally frigid.
I mean 12 degrees when I walk to class people.
That is insane and needs to change.

I love getting care packages.
Especially ones with clothes or candy in them.
It tends to make my day when I pull something like this out of my mail box.
All packages welcome!

I go to a pretty awesome school.
Its awesome because I can walk to my classes within three minutes.
I can also see all of my building from my dorm room.
And it has pretty good scenery to look at on the way in those 12 degree temps.

Everyone that knows me knows that I love Bridesmaids.
It is hilarious and if you haven't seen it, go watch it.
The puppy scene gets me every time!
I love that my Dad loves it.
Must run in the family.

Been missing my Momma lately.
But she keeps Caleb and I laughing by looking at pictures of her 90s mullet at the petting zoo.

Just to show you how bipolar the weather is.
I'm sorry what is the weather supposed to be on Monday? Ping Pong balls?
And 70 on Wednesday! Oh wait snow Friday.
Something is wrong.

By the way, the grapefruit I ate this morning was so freaking good.
Literally enjoyed every second of it.

And I will leave you with this lovely.
My first speeding ticket.
68 in a 55.
Not too happy about it.
Officer Eggelston wasn't very friendly.

Snowy Richmond Weekend

I had to come home to Richmond for the weekend for my follow up appointment from my surgery.
I remember being at East Carolina and counting down the days to go home.
I didn't feel an urge to leave Farmville and go to Richmond.
It was the best feeling ever.
Don't get me wrong, I was happy to come home but I didn't feel the urgency I used to.

I got all of my ducks in a row this morning appointment wise.
I made it home just in time to make some trash, which is also God's greatest recipe.
And just in time for the snow to start falling.

I've never been one to like snow.
I like summer, I like it hot.
I like to be barefoot and by the water.
But I'm liking the snow right now.
There is something about it that makes me think that Spring will be here soon!

I left my camera at school this weekend so unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the trash I made nor the snow that is on the ground.
I'm hoping to post some Instagram pictures later.

FYI: I'm getting my wisdom teeth out a week from today. Prepare yourself for some complaining.

Hotel Wheeler

I live in a hotel now.
Not really, it is techincally a dorm room.
But it should be considered a hotel.
I love it.
We all know my love for staying in a hotel.

It is so nice.
I have a bigger closet here than I have at home.
It is pretty legit.
I share a bathroom with two other people.
Which is also pretty cool.

I'll give you a grand tour!

Notice I've emptied the candy jar

My Loves

My recent loves in no particular order.

Love my girls!
Miss y'all so much.

We all know I love a manicure.
Love OPI Bubblebath.
I also love that I no longer chew my nails.

Love my desk at school.
I love to look at the people I love.
I'm a cheeseball.

I of course love Notre Dame.
Win or loose.
Along with some Glory Days.

I guess I just love food.
BBQ Pizza from California Pizza Kitchen.
A solid favorite.

More food lovin'.
Pita and celery.
Been getting me through the dining hall.

And most importantly.
I love home and I miss it.
I also love my morning coffee.
And my view out the window, which usually consists of someone chasing America.

I Think I'm Gonna Make It

I think I kind of like it here.
It is kinda me.
Its a cozy place, totally me.
Its small and intimate which I adore.
I don't feel like a little fish in a big pond drowning anymore and I couldn't be happier.
I have officially been to all of my classes and have met my professors and I'm currently counting my blessings.
My classes are so small, which I love!
My biggest class had thirty people in it, my smallest at ECU has one hundred and twenty.

Besides three straight days of rain I've actually enjoyed myself.
I've seen familiar faces and made some new friends (thank gosh! yayy me!)
I've ordered my books and have gotten everything organized.

As promised I have a few pictures of my new room.
This is just a sneak peak, I'll do a full post this weekend!
They aren't great and I'm a little embarrassed to share them but you get the point.

And this gem is just for giggles.
He looks a little guilty to me!

I also got my new address, we all know I love care packages!

Box Number 1005

Finding My Place

Well I made it.
I have officially moved in.
Huge thanks to Caleb and Townley, I couldn't have done it without yall.
And we had the most perfect weather, sunny with a high of 75.
I have completed orientation and registered for classes.
I have an 8 a.m. everyday but Thursday.
I'm gonna make it work.

Lets get real.
No joke, my dorm room is a hotel.
It is crazy insanely nice.
It is better than any dorm I have ever been in or visited.
Literally runs over all ECU dorms.

I'm a little homesick which is completely expected but I'm ready to find my place here.
Find my friends and the things for me.

I have my room set up and it is pretty cute if I do say so myself.
I'll post some pictures later!

P.S. My roommate is completely normal!!

Longwood Here I Come

I'm not going to lie.
I'm feeling such a mix of emotions at the moment.
I'm more than ready to go back to school.
I also am perfectly happy at home in my own bed, with my car, and my own room.

I know that going back to school is the right thing for me but we all know I don't do well with change.
I never have and it something for me to work on.
I get into a swing of things and don't like to mess something up that is working.
Which I feel is pretty practical.

I move in tomorrow afternoon, have registration Monday, and start classes Tuesday.
It is going to be a crazy week yet exciting at the same time.
I'm thankful already for the people I have waiting there for me.
It is definitely a new chapter in my life, a chapter that I am hoping will be better than the last.
Here is to Longwood and 2013!

Whats Under the Tree?

My family was so great to me this year.
I got some of the best Christmas presents ever.
Every single one was perfect.
I'm also quickly learning that Christmas lists are not a bad thing.

I got new Frye boots.
Everyone that knows me knows that I am completely obsessed with my harness boots.
I had been drooling over these for awhile.
Thank you Aunt Peg!

Keeping the theme with shoes.
I got the most beautiful pair of Tory Burchs that I never ever thought I would own.
I've pinned these so many times.
Just wishing and hoping.
Never thinking they would make their way into my closet.
Well it did!
And I made a fool of myself in Saks.
Que the jumping up and down and embarrassing my Dad.

I got some really cool sweaters from the Loft that I had been wanting.
This is where I realized that the Christmas list kicked on in.
I also got a new Tervis Tumbler water bottle that I love.
Anyone who hasn't tried their new water bottles with the flip lids..they are fabulous!

I got the typical Christmas checks, which are always much appreciated and come in handy away at school for sure.

I got a couple movies.
The Lucky One and Christmas with the Kranks.
Both highly recommended.

I saved the best for last.
While I loved all of the gifts this one was so amazing.
I have a problem.
I'm a candy addict.
I love all types except for chocolate.
Skittles, Sprees, Sweet Tarts, Mike and Ikes, but my favorites are Hot Tamales.
Christmas morning I was surprised with a candy jar from the Marchettis.
They know first hand about my problem.
Townley got a jar and got it hand painted with "Megan's Candy Jar"
It is adorable and fabulous all at the same time.

People were very good to me this year!
The presents were good and the company was better!

Ringing in 2013

We spent New Years at home this year.
With our favorite Kara.
We ordered Chinese food and made homemade Chex Mix.
It was literally perfect.
We lounged on the couch and did nothing.
We rang in the New Year the right way.

Earlier this week we went out to dinner with our normal crew.
The people that got me through this summer.
I couldn't ask for better friends, I love them all.

We went to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and then came home to a fire pit.
We all know I'm a sucker for some smores.
It was good to have everyone in one place one last time before people start heading back to school.
Only until summer.
Then it is round 2.

2012 in Pictures

They say a picture says a thousand words.
Here is 2012 in pictures in no particular order.
Better late than never.
