Vroom Vroom

I got new wheels this weekend and it was a complete surprise!
On Friday by the time we had picked the dog up, taken her home, and finally gotten to my house it was dark outside.
When we pulled in the driveway I noticed my car wasn't there and it wasn't in the garage.
I was a little skepitcal but figured they had parked it in the barn due to the bad forcast.
Caleb and I had ordered a pizza and chatted with Mimi.
Thinking back my Grandpa disappeared for awhile.
Well it finally came time for Caleb to leave and they urged me to walk him to his car.
And my new car was right next to his!

I was floored.
Que the screaming/jumping up and down in the front yard.
I took it for a test drive down the street and don't think I got any sleep that night.
I also went through a tank of gas in 48 hours.
Might I add that I get 32 mpg.
Yes, you read that correct.

Ain't she beautiful!!

Hello are you there?

It has been pretty quiet on here the last week or so.
It is because I left my computer at home last weekend and was without it.
Well I left it at home again.
I don't even feel bad for myself anymore.

This past week was a doozy.
Everything that could go wrong went wrong .
My Dad now answers the phone with "What wrong/ Who are you mad at?"

We are all old friends here though.
We can catch up fast.

My camera has a little trouble getting out of its bag.
Instagram will have to do for now.

I need Spring.
I just do.
April will not come fast enough but we have had a few days in between that have been gorgeous.
That makes me happy.

America is literally the sweetest and most well behaved dog.
We don't know how it happened.
You should have witnessed her first few months with us.
It consisted of her chewing up carpet, end tables, along with eating chocolate bars.

Caleb's parents went on a much deserved vacation this past weekend.
His brother and sister-in-law were so sweet to watch America until we could get home to get her.
We picked up some Krispy Kremes on the way.
Let me tell you it in impossible to eat just one.
The sprinkled ones are my weakness.

This should be self explanatory.

Not having my Mac last week...and now about killed me.
I took all my creativity out on other things.
Like the tables at the library.
Girls gotta go what a girls gotta do right?

Last week I got a care package.
It was a complete surprise but it had all of my favorites in it.
The Koebel's are like family, what am I talking about. They are family.
They are probably the most hilarious family I have ever met nor is it ever a dull moment in their house.
They are genuine and loving yet just an all around good time.
They would do anything for you and I'm very lucky to have them in my life.
I mean who else would send me pickles at college?

Our trip to the river was so bittersweet.
I know we would be getting America at the end but it is no fun going to the river when its not 80 degrees.
Crossing the bridge was so sad.
It was a cold and rainy day to top it.
It made me long even more for my July weather.

Sorry for lack of posts.
I have a surprise for tomorrow that will make it up to y'all!

Richmond Bound

Today I am going home to Richmond for my wisdom tooth check up.
Ehh, I was bad and ate some popcorn.
Well I think some food got stuck in my incision.
I am probably not going to get a good report.
Fingers crossed.

I'm really excited to go home today.
The past times it has just been what it was, I was going home.
But this time I am antsy.
I don't know if it is because I have been so stressed lately or what.
Home grounds me and reminds me of who I am along with the wonderful life I have.
There is nothing like not having to wear shower shoes in college.
It is literally the greatest feeling ever.
Along with sleeping in your own bed.

Here is to the weekend and some snuggle time with Miss America!

In a Rut

I've never really liked February.
And if we are being honest March either.
They are such a tease, you have days in the seventies and then days in the thirties.
I need warmth, I'm dying to bring out my shorts and Jacks.
I'm a summer girl.
It runs through my blood.

I'm ready for Spring Break.
Just to have a week at home with nothing to do.
That is exactly what this girl needs right now.
I have been so super stressed out lately to the point that it has been pathetic.
I stress about everything to the point of stressing about stupid things.
Like whether or not they will have the creamy salad dressing.
I know, it is sad.
I'm working on it though, small steps.

Lent has arrived.
I struggle with this every single year.
I never know what to give up.
This year I tried Diet Coke.
Key word is tried, I lasted about twelve hours and decided it was a necessity for me to succeed.
That is another problem I need to work on.
So this season of Lent it was decided that I will work on myself.
Stress less, drink less Diet Coke, and just enjoy the current moment.

I've missed my little girl a lot lately.
She might be a handful at times but she reminds me to be thankful.

Twas the night before Lent.
This is what I thought would be my last drink.

When I am having a bad day I look at the funnies on Pinterest.
There were multiple of these and they had me rolling.
I mean tears streaming down my face laughing so hard.

This sweet boy always gives me a little pick me up when I am feeling down.

We went to Sweet Frog, a frozen yogurt place to get in the Valentines Day spirit.

I got an early Valentines surprise last week!
They are perfect and I love every aspect about them.
I don't really plan on ever taking them off either!

As you all know I love myself a good care package.
They just make everything better and I don't think people that aren't in college understand.
You miss home, everyone does and most people miss it a lot.
And something from the people you love makes such a difference.

The Derr family was so good to me this summer, something that I cannot thank them enough for.
Not only is Jordan a fabulous friend but her parents are pretty great too!
I got a surprise package today from Laahdy!
It made my day!
She knows that these are my weakness.
Thank you Laahdy!! Hope Mr. Laahdy was good to you today!!

Be My Valentine

While college is getting in the way of Caleb and I's Valentines date we have postponed until Saturday.
I'm thankful for this boy everyday not just on February 14th.
He is everything and more that a girl should have.

Snappin' Away

I finally took my camera out of the bag this weekend.
It was long overdue, I've been talking about taking some pictures of campus since I got here.
I have been a little overwhelmed lately and it was exactly what I needed.

There is something about having the strap around my neck and tangibility of the lens in my hand that just gets to me.
It is something I could spend hours doing, there is just something about being behind a camera.
It allows me to capture the world and my life the way I see it and I just think that is so empowering.

I'm blessed that my campus is absolutely gorgeous.
Something that is completely worth documenting.
And it was completely worth the cold temperatures yesterday.
I dragged Caleb along with me and rewarded him with Moes afterwards.
It was fair.

Let me give you a little tour.

February What?

I can't believe that it is already February.
I feel like Christmas was yesterday!
But I like the idea that March and April are that much closer.
Meaning that my shorts and Jacks are that much closer as well.

Not a whole lot has been going on around here.
I went home to Richmond last weekend to get one wisdom tooth removed.
Let me start by saying bless all of you who have gotten four removed at once.
One about killed me.
I will leave out all of the gross details but lets just say wearing panty hose filled with ice bags around your head is in no way cute.

I have to go back in two weeks for a follow up appointment.
Lets just say that is is really convenient for a nice Valentines Day dinner :)

I always love coming home.
Even when I am perfectly happy where I am.
Except when I pulled in the driveway this time I knew I had to break the news about my ticket.
It went good y'all.
Somehow I even got a present out of it!
A cute sweater that I love, thanks Mimi!

I figure we are all friends here.
And most of the people reading this know me pretty well.
I'm honest and open and y'all put up with my complaining so here is your reward.
P.s. I might regret this and remove it later

I've missed my fellow Lilac and Black ladies lately.
Saint Gertrude is really a place that you take advantage of and don't appreciate until you are gone.
Not missing those Song Contest practices right about now though!

I will leave you with this lovely.
This had many people laughing this week.
I get told often that I act like a Mom, quite often my Mom.
And Caleb well he dresses like a Dad.
So this picture is perfect.
My parents circa the mid 80's and Caleb and I about 6 months ago.
Great people think alike!
