Round 3

Last Friday I moved back into school to start my Junior year. It really is hard to believe how fast time is going by, I feel like I was just moving to Farmville to start my journey. They always say enjoy it while it lasts and it is so true. 

I moved into the sorority dorm, Stubbs which just opened after being under renovation for about a year. The building is four stories and there are three sororities on each hall, all having their own chapter room. To say the buliding gorgeous is an understatement. It was wonderful and they did a great job making it unique for us and what we need! And if we are being honest as long as I have air conditioning I don't have too many complaints!

We have settled in and made it our own and Danielle and I really like it. I wouldn't want to be spending my year anywhere else!

The Dog Days of Summer

My final days of summer are officially in the single digits. I'm super excited but in a nervous way that consists of many to do lists and things to check off, lots of things to check off. 

It is hard to believe that August is already half way over, I move into school on the 22nd and school starts on the 25th. I must say that it has been an awesome summer but at this point I'm always getting tired of my summer clothes and the 90 degree days. 

In between winding down my days at Saxon and packing my life into rubbermaids Caleb has a birthday, a big one in fact. He turned 21 on August 5 and I told him it was his last real "celebratory" birthday. The day was spent at the river, where our birthdays seem to be spent the past couple of years. It was a gorgeous day filled with family (Jake and Kristen were in town!), boat rides, sunshine, and some baby snuggles. 

Every boy needs a Yeti.

Where most of my afternoon was spent.

 

I spent a few days "dog sitting" while the Marchettis were out of town and it was so nice to have some snuggles with Miss A. She is a girl after my own heart with her ability to nap.

And I will leave you with a smile. Not only does my Dad send me lovely words of encouragement and compliments throughout the day but he always keeps my updated on worldly news!

T-minus 9 days until Farmville!

Summer Time

First off I cannot believe that July has come and gone and that August has arrived. In a way I'm so ready for summer to be over but I also feel like summer hasn't even started for me. 

I finally finished Spanish last week and no longer have to worry about that (until next summer) which is super nice. It was definitely a pain but I'm so glad to have 2 out of 3 classes finished. So I'm pretty much spending my last two weeks getting stuff ready (procrastinating) for school and getting in a few more shifts at Saxon. 

With the little bit of free time that I have on my hands I headed over to one of my favorite finds. I love the fact that I get to take the back roads, roll down my windows, turn my music up, and escape reality for a little while. I feel like I just relax when I walk in the door and I never leave without a few goodies, more on that to come later!

I finally got my monogram for my room, I'm not going to lie sanding that thing was not an easy task and definitely underestimated. I'm super happy with the turn out though. 

This past weekend we had a meeting for my sorority to get some things accomplished before we head back to school. I cannot begin to describe how good it was to see everyone, it was definitely long overdue. We did dinner at Nacho Mama's in Carytown on Friday and had out meeting Saturday. It made me start counting the days until we get back to Farmville. 

Ally, who lives in New Jersey had to come into town for the meeting and she stayed with me. It was oh so good to see her, I didn't realize how much I missed her. She was such a wonderful roommate for me and she is literally one of the kindest and genuine people I know! 

This is way overdue but I still want to share! The Marchettis got me a new planner for my birthday and I am absolutely head over heals for it and I know that sounds silly. It is absolutely amazing and I actually look forward to looking at what I have to do for the day. It is an Erin Condren and the covers and tabs are laminated, I would definitely highly recommend!!

Tomorrow we are all headed down to the Rappahannock to celebrate Caleb's 21st birthday! Fingers crossed for some good weather that will allow for a little bronzing!
