And this week is dragging..

I cannot believe is it only WEDNESDAY and that October is almost over. I guess that just means that Christmas is a little bit closer. I'm itching for the holidays this year but I am going to miss these gorgeous leaves!

Sadly, instead of spending yesterday with Caleb I spent it here..

Studying for a Western Civ exam. Not my idea of a anniversary.

This week I went to an event called King of Our Hearts. It was put on by one of the sororities on campus and was in a way a male beauty pageant. It was hilarious, to say the least. They all had to share a talent, we had dancing, singing, "talking", poems, and serious readings

Sorry for the bad iPhone pics!

Below is the winner of KOH. He did a dramatic reading of Kanye West's song, Gold Digger. This was probably one of the funniest things that I have ever seen. Completely worthy of winning. Had to be there to understand.

This week has dragged on! I've come down with a cold, I'm headed to the health center in the morning!

It's Okay

....that I have insomnia.

....that I bought a bag of candy last week for Halloween but had to buy a new one today.

....I think that I have found a sorority that I love!

....I took two Tylenol PMs tonight to make life a little easier.

....that the weather is cooling down, I love the sting in my lungs in the morning.

....that I LOVE living alone.

....even though I live alone I still make my bed everyday because I think it looks pretty.

....that I leave 20 minutes early for class so I can walk slow and look at the trees.

....I really miss my family at school.

....that I have some of the best friends in the world.

....I can't wait to be snuggled up with Miss America.

....that I've watched about five episodes of Grey's Anatomy this afternoon.

....that I have a test tomorrow....

Winter Coats and Workouts

I'm currently on the hunt for a new winter coat and it is proving to be a lot harder than expected.
I have a wool coat that I love but it it a little too dressy for all occasions. So I figured that a good down jacket would be perfect for more casual wear.

I've had a North Face before and wasn't too impressed with it. It was almost like a coat inside of a rain jacket, it got dirty really easily, and the zipper broke after two years.

I think that I am leaning towards getting this Patagonia Down Sweater. I've heard good things about it plus it is super light weight and non bulky for a down coat.

Any other suggestions welcome!

Ava always gives me a hard time for not giving her enough time on this blog so she is going to get a little shout out!

This is us in gym class, yes college has gym. Our high school didn't even require this, and yes it makes me angry that we have to pay money for this class.

Anyways, this pretty much sums up our exercise experience and the thoughts on Phed 101.

This weekend has been super low key and COLD. Where did this weather come from?! I guess it is almost November! It was Hampden Sydney's Homecoming weekend but I didn't make it. My allergies have been kicking my butt and I have some big tests coming up this week.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! xoxo

Fall's Arrival

Fall has officially arrived in Farmville.
The leaves are falling and the colors are changing.
Although it was a brisk morning at thirty degrees.
I think everyone is welcoming Fall with open arms.

This weekend is HSC homecoming so it should be good one!

Happy weekend! xoxo

Fall Break Round Two

This past weekend was the start of Caleb's Fall Break, who said that didn't mean I couldn't pretend it was mine too.

We had what I could call a perfect Fall weekend. No one worked, we relaxed, ate too much, and enjoyed the fabulous weather.

I finally got to wear the boots that I picked up a couple weeks ago and I was really happy with them. They were super comfortable and a great neutral. They are Bussolas, which I had never heard of before trying these on but I love!

After you read this you need to go get in your car and drive to Trader Joes, Cookie Butter. It is fabulous. I was standing in line to check out this weekend and the couple in front of me were raving about it. They rang the ball for me and I grabbed a jar and it is unexplainable. It isn't peanut butter but it isn't Nutella but it has this amazing gingerbread kind of taste! Highly suggest trying it out.

A common theme has been occurring every time I go to Target. I always end up in the cosmetics aisle and I usually end up with a few new polishes. I picked up Essie Vested Interest and After School Boy Blazer, which is a good Fall Navy. Loving them both!

We broke out the fire pit for the first time this year and it was so nice. It was warm enough were you didn't need to be bundled up to be outside but it was super nice to have the fire to warm your feet.  Plus I got a few smores.

I feel like every time I go to the mall Loft is having some super sale. When I say sale I mean like the whole store 50% off. It is crazy. I've learned NEVER buy anything you like there full price, wait until next week. I picked up two sweaters and two pairs of cords for under seventy bucks.

P.S A little shout out to my Grandma today. She is having surgery on her wrist.
Thinking about you and love you!

Parents Weekend, Oktoberfest, Fall Break

Once again time has gotten away from me and so has this blog.
We have had parents weekend, Oktoberfest, and Fall break just to name a few with lots of things (big and little) in between.

HSC had parents weekend and it called for a little Bojangles.
I had never heard of Bo before I went to ECU and let me tell you, you can take a girl out of Greenville but you will always be loyal to Bo Time.
So delicious.

After parents weekend we had Oktoberfest. Rebolution, and a rapper ( I cannot remember his name) came to perform.
We all know that all I was interested in was Chase Rice, I was shocked at how many people didn't know who Chase Rice was.
One of our favorites

I have gotten so lucky with the RAs that I have had so far, I've loved them all but this years is fantastic.
I love her and visit often.
Plus she likes Binkie, cue the door name tag.

I had to read In Cold Blood over Fall Break for my English class and wasn't too excited about it.
Surprisingly I loved it and fell into what I call a "bookcoma", when you can't do anything but sit on the couch reading.
Love it and would suggest it as a good fast winter read.

More on this cute little table to come later.
I'm using it to hold my printer.
Love love love the knob!

I treated myself to a mani pedi over fall break, I felt as if I deserved it!
Loving Smokin' Hot by Essie right now, great fall grey.

I ended Fall Break with a little bit of sunshine, which was oh so needed.
After a week of rain it was welcomed and a great way to end a good relaxing break.

Gerty Girl

Keep us in your thoughts.
Our sweet girl, Gertrude has been at the vet for the past two days not feeling too well.
Hopefully she will get to come home this afternoon.
