Monday Funday

So I got a new roommate this past weekend and I must say I'm a little partial. I feel like I'm talking to myself when I'm with her, I'm able to be 100% myself which is so refreshing. I think we all know that I have not had the best of luck with roommates. Long story short Ally (my new roomie) and my old roommate switched rooms so everyone could more comfortable. Ally is a Sigma Kappa and I'm so happy to have met her!

Ally, Danielle, and I ended up matching the other night. Love these girls so much, can't wait for our friendship/roomships to grow. I'm living with Danielle next year.

Ally, Danielle, Me
I thought that I was addicted to Candy Crush for awhile. I found myself changing the time zone just so I could get more lives...I ended up having to delete it to save myself the anxiety. I ended up caving and downloading Flappy Birds before it was removed from the App Store. I'm completely addicted and have a serious problem.  I've heard that since it is no longer available that people are selling their phones with the App for over $500!

I had the best surprise in my mailbox this afternoon, it was completely unexpected. My Marchettis are the best and always know how to put a smile on my face. Thank you for my Oreos, I love you guys and can't wait to see you next week!

Happy Monday!!

Sigma Kappa Initiation

I'm officially a sister of Sigma Kappa and I cannot tell you how thrilled I am. This is going to be a sappy post, since this is a place for me to document all of my college moments...even though I highly doubt that I will ever forget today.

These past six weeks have been long but short and short but long. They have been great and tough at times but all 25 of my beautiful sisters made it, we made it together and I wouldn't have wanted to share the journey with anyone else. I laugh because I remember when we received our bids that we kept saying our names to remember who was who, in a way I already feel like we have known each other forever.

I cannot wait to see what Sigma Kappa has in store for me. It really makes me smile just thinking about it. It has definitely changed me as a person, I know I'm so much happier as a college student in general. I can't go anywhere on campus without seeing someone I know. In the words of my family "it is the best money that has ever been put towards my education", I have to agree.

Today was initiation and it was magical. It gives me chills thinking about the wonderful group of girls that I am privileged to call my sisters.  Not only do I have a great group of sisters I have the best family, I couldn't ask for more. My big, Shannon has spoiled me with gifts before I even knew who she was. I feel at home with her, I can be myself and it was exactly what I was looking for. I cannot wait for our relationship to grow.

Here are some pictures from today!

Big Little Paddles

Lets just take a second to talk about how much this screams my name. I'm in love with my paddle, Shannon did the BEST job.

Excuse my bad dorm lighting. It is pink and navy!

I would like to say thank you to our Moms, Molly and Sam for helping us through this process. We would not have made it this far without you. I know that we are all so happy to finally call you Sister/Moms.

Also a little shout out to my favorite, Peyton. Thank you thank you for introducing me to such a wonderful organization, I can't put into words how much I love you sneaky girl!

It has been a long but great weekend, one that I for sure will never forget.

this & that

Last week we got more snow than I have seen since I was probably in elementary school. It was cold and messy but it gave me a four day weekend so I'm not complaining. I would say that we got around a foot over all. I wouldn't classify Farmville as "snow friendly", we pretty much shut down which includes having nowhere decent to eat.

I did however take Thursday and Friday to get a little work done, I've been overloaded with tests and papers lately. It was nice to get a little work out of the way along with having a few things postponed.

Valentines Day has also come and gone. Caleb and I never do anything big and we actually celebrated early this year but my Dad never forgets me.

I was so happy to get this Alex and Ani bracelet, he is oh so thoughtful and has pretty good taste. Thank you thank you!

Even though we celebrated early I still figured that Caleb deserved a little shout on, I would say that I'm a pretty lucky girl.

Caleb and I actually headed home on Friday afternoon, a lot of the snow had melted and the roads were clear. It was the last time I could go home because of initiation this weekend and Spring Break the next! It was super low key and consisted on naps and homework. But I have to say I always love a quick trip home.

I also LOVE my big. She is the best and the cutest! I got my unity letters last night from her and I love them!

Happy Monday!!

Big Little Reveal 2014

We finally had Big Little Reveal this Saturday and to say that it was one of the best experiences ever would be an understatement.

Big Little Reveal is usually done in the chapter room but since Stubbs is under renovation we don't have access to it. They definitely made the most of what he had available and it was super cute. We all gathered at McDonalds at 11:45, each of received lyrics to a song. There were parking lots and we all had to find out big in the car that was playing our song!

I don't think that I could have waited any longer to find out who my fabulous Big (Shannon) was but it was so so worth it. I love her so much already and wouldn't trade the reveal experience for anything! She has spoiled me rotten already and I must say she has good taste!

In all of my baskets Big gave me a letter, lets just say that she tricked me! I was completely convinced that I didn't have her at the end.

I cried before we even got out Bigs, and then I cried some more and some more.

My Rockstar fam!! Excuse my demon eyes.

Isn't my big the cutest?!

Psedo Fam!

My experiences in Sigma Kappa during these short four weeks have continued to get better and better. I can't get over how rewarding the process has been so far. I can't wait to get to know and love my family more so than I already do. I'm so lucky to be a little rock star!

rva weekend

I went home to Richmond last Thursday for some dental work and just got back to Farmville this morning. I've decided that I just want dentures, it sounds so much easier than real teeth.

Things were pretty low key while I was home, I didn't work and Caleb came home on Friday

This boy thinks that he is just so funny. Little did he know he didn't get one cookie.

I love my school and my sorority but it was good to get home for a couple days. As I have said before everyone needs a little re-charge after being in Farmville for more than three weeks.

Mimi taught be how to knit when I was in middle school and I became slightly obsessed with it, lets just say I made enough scarves for RVA. Well I needed a little stress relief and decided to make a few ear warmers. You might say they are cheezy but I secretly love them.

Gosh these cookies were good. Key word: were. I'm not a sucker for chocolate chip cookies but these with white chocolate got to me. They were oh so good and were definitely a hit in our house.

Saturday night Paul and Townley got in a little practice before their grandbaby arrives! Lets just say we are all super excited but couldn't get over Bowen's cuteness. I must say Paul looks good with a baby!

Caleb and I celebrated Valentines Day a little early. More like I begged to celebrate early because I just don't think Farmville is up to par. He got me the sweetest Sigma Kappa gifts. He listens when we go places!! I love them and it reminded me how much I love him.

This is big little week! I'm getting super excited and cannot wait to find out who my fabulous biggie is! She is so perfect! I got my first basket yesterday and will post more about it later!

Happy Tuesday!
